What historical event fascinates you the most?
Since the late 1930’s, instead of trick-or-treating on Halloween, those in Des Moines, Iowa have celebrated what they call “Beggars’ Night,” which seems a lot like trick-or-treating, except they celebrate near but not on Halloween. Apparently, this year, Des Moines celebrated its tradition on October 31st for the first time since it started.
